Benefits of Used grist equipment
After mining ore has been sufficiently crushed by use of a jaw crusher, gyratory crusher or impact crusher the next step is to grind that material down to even finer powders and particles for processing. There are some types of used milling tool that can be utilized to achieve this task including ball mills, rod mills, sag mills and hammer mills. Each type of milling press has its advantages depending on the mining ore being used.
Ball mills are cylindrical devices that rotate colse to a horizontal axis and are partially filled with the material too be ground and the milling medium. Often ball milling medium consist of ceramic balls, flint pebbles and stainless steel balls. Ball mills control via an internal cascading appeal where the milling balls and the ore grind together to sacrifice the material to a fine powder. Commercial ball mills can control continuously, being fed at one end with the ore and discharging the fine powder at the other end.
Rod mills are quite similar to ball mills but use long steel rods instead of small balls for the milling media. Steel rods grind the ore by tumbling within the mill and the rods tumble and spin in roughly parallel alignments simulating a series of roll crushers. Since a rod mill doesn't cascade it can be operated at a lower peripheral speed than a ball mill and since there is less void space in a rod mill than a ball mill there is ordinarily more milling feel between metal and ore.
A Sag mill (Semi-autogenous grinding) utilizes steel balls and large rocks for grinding. In a sag mill a rotating drum acts to throw the large rocks and steel balls in a cataracting appeal which causes impact breakage of the large rocks and compressive milling of fine particles. Characterized by a large diameter and short distance sag mills are primarily used for milling gold, platinum, copper, lead, zinc and silver.
Hammer mills, unlike ball and rod mills, act to shred mining ore rather than grind it. A hammer mill consists of a steel drum with a vertical or horizontal rotating shaft on which hammers are mounted. The hammers will swing freely from a fixed point on the central rotor and when material is fed into the mill the rotor is spun at a high speed so the hammers can shred the ore material that is then expelled through screens in the drum.

A Household Sugar Cane Juicer Only a Sweet Dream?
So you've had your veggies-in-a-glass. How about putting a sugar cane juicer to work for dessert?
The modern sugar cane juicer has come a long way from the trapiche, the old former wooden roller press used by the indigenous population of countries such as Panama and Columbia. However, it still produces the same sweet, delightful juice.
A former Cuban drink, called guarapo, is freely ready in Miami, Florida. Many visitors are not aware that this is in fact sugar cane juice. To furnish this treat, a guarapo press is used.
Sugar cane juice is an unrefined source of carbohydrates, which is categorically good for you! The juice of sugar cane grown for this purpose, has an arresting color, is soft on the palate, is more carport than vegetable juice and is filled with nutrients. While growing, it is watered constantly to keep the sugar percentage as low as possible.
A sugar cane juicer produces juice that is just a bit sweeter than orange juice. It contains much less sugar than a can of soda! It is believed this juice has properties that help to forestall tooth decay.
There is also evidence that this juice may include some wound curative and immune strengthening properties. In addition, the juice has a soothing corollary on the digestive system, especially when combined with fresh ginger.
Commercial juicers are prohibitively expensive, and a household juicer isn't a tasteless sight. Pressers are ready in table top models in countries like Malaysia, India and Singapore, where this juice is seen as a delicacy.
Entrepreneurs elsewhere have taken up the challenge and now sell organic juice, flavored with lime, ginger or rasberry. These extras compliment the juice perfectly.
A vegetable juicer that has occasionally been used for this juice is the trustworthy Omega 8005. If you decree to try this, you must remove the outer rind or husk - quite a time-consuming job! The outer husk is also the main source of impurities. Removing the juicing nozzle first is also recommended.
The Visor Juicer by L'Equip, may also be able to deal with it. Although juicing sugar cane sporadically should be fine, you have to decree for yourself if you want to risk potential damage to your juicer.
One of the other options currently on the market, is a sugar cane juicer called the Mci-170 that comes with the usual commercial-juicer price-tag. This is an extractor with a stainless steel cabinet, body and juice drum. The unit also has a drink tap. The juicer can go straight through nearby 170 canes per hour. The motor of the galvanic model is 1.5 Hp. A gas version is also available.
The dimensions of the Mci-170 are 16" x 18" x 22". This is quite a hefty engine by juicing standards, as it weighs in at nearby 190 pounds.
A slightly more manageable version is the Mci-60, which dispatches with 60 canes per hour. It comes with the same stainless steel construction, accepted drive container and filter with drink tap. The motor is less grand at 3/4 Hp.
This one is a slightly more svelte model with dimensions of 16" x 15" x 22". Unfortunately it is still a heavy contraption with a weight of 100 pounds.
The Abamaster Sugar Cane Juicer Scje, categorically more of a sugar cane crusher, has a grand 1/2 Hp motor. This durable engine is easy to use, has a stainless steel body and drums, and a reduced gear form for maximum torque.
The Sugar Cane Juice Extractor 2000 distributed by Zama Enterprises, is a countertop model with a stainless steel body and drums. It is easy to operate and has a detachable front cover for quick cleaning. Weighing in at 100 pounds, you probably won't select this one for your kitchen!
Until a more practical household juicer becomes available, it is maybe wiser to stick to juicing commonplace fruit and vegetables.
